On Saturday, RC Lens wins by 1-0 at Stade Rennais to go past OM and into second place in the Ligue 1 standings. Lois Openda scored in the first half. Also, as the Marseille team drew 1-1 with Montpellier on Friday, the Northerners moved ahead of OM on goal differential with 60 points from 29 games thanks to the 15th goal this league season by the Belgian striker. Prior to visiting Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday, Paris St. Germain is in first place with 66 points. Meanwhile, Rennes has 50 points, placing them fifth on the table.

After a four-match losing sequence in February, Lens is back on track. In the 31st minute, Openda headed in a cross from Florian Sotoca for his sixth goal in his previous three Ligue 1 matches. When Rennes responded right after, Karl Toko Ekambi's attempt went wide just before halftime and Benjamin Bourigeaud's strike smashed onto the bar.
