Atletico Madrid missed out on the chance to level up on points with Real Madrid after they conceded twice from penalties to draw 2-2 away at Levante. The defending champions were leading at the City of Valencia Stadium after Antoine Griezmann first scored for Atletico Madrid early in just 12 minutes and later Matheus Cunha hit his first goal for the club in the second half that seemed to have sealed the victory.
But the second last ranked Levante made a comeback each time first by converting a penalty in the first half with a 37th-minute penalty that was converted by Enis Bardhi 12 yards away and in the injury time, Bardhi struck again after which Rober Pier was sent off with a red card late in the game.
