Leverkusen clarified that Ben Seghir is suffering from an injury to the ligaments of his left ankle, which he sustained before the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, where the Moroccan team lost to Senegal with a score of 1-0 after going into extra time.
The German club indicated that the medical staff is closely monitoring the player's health condition, as he will undergo a special treatment and rehabilitation program in the coming period, with the aim of preparing him to return to competition as soon as he fully completes the recovery phase.
