Liam Rosenior's team gets back to winning ways

Strasbourg made it through a significant early scare. Aïmen Mouffek discovered Irvin Cardona inside the box, unmarked, after a turnover. It was Djordje Petrovic who hit the latter's first attempt. Although it was a fantastic opportunity, the rebound was superior. He shot high with the goal gaping only a few yards out.

The team, led by Liam Rosenior, took full advantage of their respite. Diego Moreira's magnificent outside-of-the-boot finish struck the top corner after Emanuel Emegha successfully held off Loïc Nego. Sébastien Nanasi then gave Strasbourg the lead, but Les Verts scored the next goal. The tie was eventually decided by Dilane Bakwa's stunning finish into the near corner. It indicates that ASSE is still in the relegation zone with three games left. Nice, who currently hold the last Champions League qualifying slot, is tied for fourth place with Strasbourg in fifth place.
