Lille climbed to the top of Ligue 1 after defeating Nantes 2-0

Nantes have not been able to defeat Lille in five years and now rank 14th with just five points. Nantes Defender Nicolas Pallois bounced Mehmet Celik strike into his own net costing Nantes its first goal and later Burak Yilmaz during the second half scored again securing a win for Lille which now puts them on a total of 11 points from five games. Currently leading ahead of St Etienne and Stade Rennes by one point. Lille dominated the game throughout while Nantes put on an organized front with 4-4-2 and were able to contain Lille until the unfortunate deflection by Pallois in the 43rd minute. Later Dennis Appiah pulled a foul on Yilmaz with just 3 minutes left in the game and The Turkish striker secured the third victory for Lille by converting the penalty.
