This achievement came in his 29th match in the MLS regular season, where Messi struck a breathtaking left-footed half-volley just before halftime, leveling the score at 1-1.

Messi's performance at the start of the 2025 MLS season has been nothing short of impressive. Although he has been gradually integrated into the team, he has already made his mark with 3 goals and 2 assists in just 4 matches. Notably, his strike against Toronto was particularly significant as it marked his first goal in a matchup against them, having previously failed to find the net in earlier encounters.

With his brilliant strike against Toronto FC, Messi has now amassed an impressive 44 goal contributions for Inter Miami, the highest by any player in the club's history. The iconic former Barcelona star has overtaken fellow Argentine Gonzalo Higuain, who previously held the record with 43 contributions.
