Liverpool 2-1 Premier League win over West Ham

With 53 points, the Reds sit in sixth place in the standings, one point behind Aston Villa with one game remaining but ahead of Spurs due to their far better goal differential. West Ham took the lead in spectacular manner in the 12th minute when Lucas Paqueta cut in from the left and played a one-two with Michail Antonio before blasting home from the edge of the box. The visitors had to work hard for their triumph.

When Dutch striker Cody Gakpo received a ball in the middle of the pitch, he took a touch before quickly launching a bouncing shot that eluded Lukasz Fabianski's dive and nestled in the far corner. Just before halftime, Virgil van Dijk made an outstanding defensive play to stop West Ham from taking the lead once more. He put a toe on a beautiful angled pass from Said Benrahma and stopped Antonio from scoring at the far post.
