Liverpool beat Brighton 2-1

Liverpool overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Brighton, thanks to a goal from Mo Salah.

Ferdi Kadıoglu's outstanding goal gave the Seagulls the lead, and they were the superior team in the first half. Caoimhin Kelleher denied Georginio Rutter when he was through on goal, while Bart Verbruggen made excellent saves against Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister to prevent the score from being increased until halfway through the second half. Cody Gakpo's cross eluded the center and found its way into the far corner in the 70th minute, giving Liverpool the equalizer. However, two minutes later, Salah scored an unstoppable winner with a classic effort that cut in from the right. With the victory and Manchester City's defeat against Bournemouth, Liverpool leads the standings by two points, while Brighton is in seventh place.
