Liverpool beats Burnley, 1-0

Liverpool’s latest triumph against Burnley, helps them stay behind Manchester City in the title challenge. Fabinho scored the winning goal for Reds as they pushed Burnley to the bottom of the Premier League. Fabinho naturally stood out in the crowd at Turf Moor even when Van Dijk made a comeback after he moved out of the injury list and back on the field.

One thing that truly worked in Liverpool’s favour was Burnley’s ability to ruin their own chances the full-backs kept mistiming their runs and kept getting caught offside. Another was Alisson’s performance as he kept the sheet clean once more denying Jay Rodriguez’s best attempt to score for Burnley. Liverpool struggled to maintain control but still ended up with three points to their name.
