According to the source, discussions between the two teams are advanced, and the gifted attacker is expected to sign with the Spanish team in the summer for a cost of about £1 million. According to the report, Liverpool decided to let the teenager go despite having little interest in moving the young talent because of how loaded their offensive front is at the moment and the alluring offer.

The 16-year-old has been tremendously good for the junior squad since moving to Liverpool from Huddersfield in 2017. At the U18 level, he made 17 league matches and contributed to three goals and three others this season. Gift will follow in the footsteps of other players leaving the club in the summer, including Naby Keita, Roberto Firmino, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.
