Liverpool secured a massive 6-1 win against Leeds United on Monday in week 31 of the English Premier League. Cody Gakpo's close-range goal gave the Reds the lead, then Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota both scored twice at Elland Road. The lone goal for Leeds United was scored by Luis Sinisterra, then in stoppage time, Darwin Nunez added a beautiful left-footed strike from inside the box to make it 6-1 for Leeds. Leeds United is in 16th place with 29 points, while Liverpool, who have a game in hand, are eighth with 47 points.
Liverpool has been down to battling it out to qualify for the Europa League or Europa Conference League for the upcoming season after narrowly missing out on a quadruple last year. The eighth-placed Reds are now two points behind seventh-placed Brighton with that goal in mind.
