Liverpool suffered one more setback with Southampton rout

The Southampton 1-0 win over Liverpool makes it their third game without a win for Reds as they stand to lose their top position to Manchester United. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp feels his side was denied a penalty during the Monday match. Reds are still at the top of the table but their lead has been cut short putting them in a position where they may lose their reign at the top if such a performance continues.

Previously they were held back by West Brom and Newcastle. Danny Ings was a thorn on their side, he scored for the hosts within 2 minutes into the game catching them off-guard, James Ward-Prowse assisted Ings in his goal. Later Southampton's defense worked hard to hold Liverpool back and deny them an equalizer.
