The Reds have never been very interested in acquiring players directly from the continent without first making a stopover in Europe. But things have begun to change in that regard in recent months. Luis Guilherme, a teammate of Estevao Willian highly-regarded winger for Palmeiras, has also been extensively connected to them. These rumors follow Liverpool's summertime attempt to buy Andre Trindade from Fluminense. Andre remained in Brazil even after the offer was turned down, so he may become available once more in the future.
Apparently, the Reds have added yet another gifted young Samba player to their list of first-team targets. He could be the greatest of them all. It's been a while since Liverpool signed a player straight out of Brazil. Maybe the experience of having to keep sending Allan out on loan after loan before selling him in hurt them.
