Despite the fact that Liverpool hasn't added any players this summer, they are reportedly working hard behind the scenes to bolster the roster before the window closes. According to reports, the Reds are looking into possibilities outside of the Premier League and intend to buy a new defensive midfield player. The Atalanta star Ederson has been identified as a top target, but according to Graeme Bailey on HITC, the Merseyside club now has a chance to entice a man they already looked at in the summer of last year and again in January.
The midfield player for Borussia Monchengladbach is named Manu Kone. The reporter does note, though, that in addition to the Reds, he has also had offers to join with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. The Frenchman's current contract has a release clause for £38.9 million.
