Liverpool’s transfer window activities always generate a buzz

The Daily Mirror stated that despite rumours of a move to Flamengo, midfield maestro Thiago Alcantara is expected to stay at Liverpool, and the Reds are actively pursuing a number of talented youngsters. Thiago Alcantara will stay with Liverpool for the remainder of the season, despite circulating rumours to the contrary, dispelling reports that he will leave in January to join Flamengo in Brazil.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that the 32-year-old, who has been out with a hip ailment, does not intend to move this month. Liverpool is greatly relieved by this decision because Thiago, despite his injury struggles, offers a special combination of quality and experience to the midfield. His injured comeback is much anticipated, as he might provide Jürgen Klopp's team a significant midseason boost. In the midfield department, Liverpool’s interest has veered towards Teun Koopmeiners of Atalanta.
