As Lloyd Kelly's contract with the Cherries draws to an end, the Magpies are among a number of teams that have been strongly linked to a move for the defender. Kelly's first trip to the South Coast came at the hands of Magpies boss Eddie Howe while he was in charge at the Vitality Stadium, and in the intervening years, the gifted defender has only grown in stature.
Kelly has been a consistent player for the previous two seasons after helping Bournemouth avoid relegation on the first try in 2022. However, there have been concerns over his long-term future with the team after attempts to reach an agreement on a new contract failed to materialize. As Kelly approaches the last few months of his current contract, a wide range of teams have reportedly expressed interest in signing the former England Under-21 defender.
