Loris Karius will reportedly be allowed to leave Newcastle United

This summer, Loris Karius is reportedly making efforts to spend more time with his Italian partner and his child.

At the completion of the current campaign, Newcastle United is not anticipated to extend the German's contract. 18 months ago, Karius was brought on as a last-resort backup when Martin Dubravka was loaned to Manchester United. The 30-year-old was thrown into the deep end on his debut as he started Newcastle's greatest game in a generation—the Carabao Cup final. Despite Dubravka's cup tie and Nick Pope's suspension, Karius held his own in the 2-0 loss. Eddie Howe was once again forced to thrust Karius into uncharted territory at Arsenal last month due to injuries to the two starting goalkeepers. Despite suffering a 4-1 defeat, the former Liverpool player was given credit.
