As a direct hit to all the nay-sayers that believe Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is not being treated fairly, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique sent a clear message reminding them who is the boss and who makes the calls around here. Granted that the German goalkeeper may feel a little bit left out because he only plays the Champions League and Copa del Rey matches whereas Claudio Bravo plays La Liga throughout the whole season, the rumors of him not being happy don't concern manager Luis Enrique.
Quite the opposite actually, this past friendly match he used goalkeeper Masip who doesn't even play throughout the whole season with the club. However, he gave quite a good performance which proves that he is as committed as the other two players in that position. For Luis Enrique, Ter Stegen possibly leaving would not hurt the team because Masip is there. So if the German wants to leave, the doors are wide open for a possible exit this summer.
Talking to the press after the 4-2 victory against Leicester City, Luis Enrique told the press that: "Someone leaving does not worry me in the slightest. That is the situation that we have and we are dealing with the issue with absolute normality. We have Ter Stegen, Bravo and [Jordi] Masip - three great goalkeepers who behave in a perfect manner and they are under contract. That is still the case - after several seasons we do not have any problem."
