Lyon’s winless draw against Le Havre

Both sides' perspectives on the first half showed little hope. It seemed very much like there were too many cooks contaminating the broth because there was no genuine technical leader for OL. While yelling orders at the Lyon players, Sonny Anderson, Jean-François Vulliez, and Jérémie Bréchet failed to lead their squad with any genuine zeal. Despite having the upper hand and taking a relatively direct approach, the hosts were unable to generate any obvious openings, and the first half was played at a rather leisurely tempo. With no goals scored, the sides entered halftime equal.

The second half got off to a considerably faster start, with Lyon creating three opportunities in the first five minutes. Cherki had maybe the finest opportunity, but his attempt was unimpressive, and he ought to have slid Lacazette in who was in a better position.
