Real Madrid have dismissed speculation over a possible Arda Güler departure, with El Español reporting that the Turkish midfielder has already earned Jose Mourinho’s confidence during the opening stages of pre‑season. Güler started the club’s first friendly — a 1‑0 win over Alcorcón — and has stood out as the Portuguese coach evaluates his squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Following the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konaté, plus the imminent signing of Yan Diomande, Spanish media had suggested a major outgoing could follow, with Güler mentioned as a potential candidate. However, Mourinho views the 21‑year‑old as an important piece of his project, just as he was last season.

Madrid now consider Güler non‑transferable, confident he will play a meaningful role as Mourinho aims to compete for every trophy in his second spell at the Bernabéu.
