Bayern Munich was defeated by Mainz on Saturday and it seemed like the winner could have scored many more goals, with Bayern in no mood to pull their socks up. Throughout the match, Mainz outclassed Munich and defeated them with a score of 3-1. On the other hand, Bayern Munich had won their only silverware of the season last week. The hosts were seen putting their efforts into the game and Moussa Niakhate gave a shot at the far post from a corner.

Bayern Munich pulled a goal back with Robert Lewandowski scoring his 18th away goal of the season for a new league record and his 34th league goal. However, after the break, Leandro Barreiro scored his shot in the 57th taking a lead in the game.
