Mallorca 2-1 win over Real Valladolid
28.09.24 / 08:00
Early in the match, Mallorca looked to be in control of the ball, even if they were unable to break through Valladolid's defense. The hosts, albeit not at their best, had a chance to break the deadlock in the 19th minute when Juanmi Latasa's close-range strike ricocheted against a beaten Leo Roman's right post.
For either team, the opportunity proved to be the riskiest period throughout the first forty-five minutes of play. Apart from a couple of lone shots from Robert Navarro and Samu Costa, Mallorca seldom ever got close to scoring. When Valladolid failed to muster a shot on goal in the first half, Valladolid's penalty claim was turned down when Luis Perez was hauled down inside the area in the first five minutes of the second half.
