On a season-long loan from Manchester City, the 22-year-old midfielder, who joined the Etihad Stadium halfway through the eventual Treble-winning 2022–2023 season, is presently playing brilliantly in Italian football.
During the team's preseason tour of the United States last summer, fans were treated to a demonstration of his exceptional skills. Perrone scored in a 3–4 loss to Celtic, most notably after coming on as a substitute at halftime. Speaking last summer on the experience of being a part of Manchester City’s first-team squad, Perrone said, “They’ve shown we’re the best team in the world again. “Even though they didn’t obtain all titles like last season, the way they play shows why they’re the best. It’s a place you enjoy and learn a lot. I’m enjoying being back at Manchester City every day.”
