Man United have reportedly seen an opening offer worth €50m turned down

It is believed that United is rushing to strengthen their middle-of-the-park alternatives with little over a week until the summer transfer window closes. Many names have been mentioned over the summer, including Ederson, Sander Berge, Amadou Onana, Martin Zubimendi, and Manuel Ugarte.

Ugarte has more than expressed his desire to finalize his transfer to Old Trafford, and it is rumored that United is in advanced negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for his services. Ederson was brought up as a potential replacement for Uruguay international Ugarte earlier this summer when it appeared like a deal for the player was off. It was reported that Atalanta may be persuaded to let go of the Brazilian for a sum of between £38 and £42 million. More recently, though, Fabrizio Romano ruled out the chance that Erik ten Hag's team would make a last-minute move to get Ederson before the deadline.
