Manchester United are intensifying plans for next season, and strengthening the left‑back position has become a priority as Tyrell Malacia edges toward a summer exit. While Patrick Dorgu is viewed as more effective in advanced areas, the club wants direct competition for a revitalised Luke Shaw, who has flourished under Michael Carrick.

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies has been identified as United’s leading target. The Canadian defender recently signed a deal running until 2030, yet his persistent injury problems have frustrated Bayern’s hierarchy, who are reportedly willing to listen to offers.

Davies, now 25, only returned from a long‑term injury earlier this season before suffering another setback, limiting him to five starts so far. United believe his pace and profile could transform their defensive structure, but any move would require navigating Bayern’s valuation and the player’s uncertain fitness record.
