Patrick Dorgu will be out for 10 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury, according to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic.

The news represents a significant blow for Manchester United, with the young defender now set to miss a substantial portion of the season. Initial hopes had centred on the issue being mere cramp, but scans have revealed a more serious problem.

Exact timelines are still being assessed by the club’s medical staff. Dorgu’s absence adds to United’s growing injury concerns in defence. The hamstring injury occurred during the Red Devils' recent victory over Arsenal last weekend, prompting immediate caution.

Recovery from such injuries typically demands careful rehabilitation to avoid recurrence. Whitwell’s report underscores the setback’s severity for Carrick’s squad.
