Fichajes claims that Manchester United is in the lead and ahead of its competitors in the race for Miguel Gutierrez. Real Madrid is among the teams showing a great deal of interest in the Girona full-back, but Erik ten Hag may be able to get his man. Erik ten Hag could give priority to signing a new left-back who he can trust in every way, primarily to help him remain healthy all season long. Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw, the Dutch manager's left-backs, were both unavailable, with the former missing the entire season due to injury.
Ten Hag has indicated that he intends to use Shaw in the central defensive position. In order to provide his defensive unit additional alternatives, Ten Hag may bring in a new left-back. The 22-year-old full-back from La Liga team Girona, Miguel Gutierrez, is presently the favorite to join Manchester United.
