West Ham defeated Manchester United 2-0 in the early game of the English Premier League on Saturday, thanks to goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus in the second half. Bowen scored from close range in the 72nd minute after a brilliant game with Lucas Paqueta, who set up Kudus six minutes later for a quick finish.
West Ham climbed up to sixth place with 30 points after a devastating 1-5 loss to Liverpool in the League Cup in midweek. United, who have failed to score in their previous four games in all competitions, have dropped to seventh place with 28 points. The first half was light in quality, with Alejandro Garnacho having the clearest chance in the 35th minute, but the winger lost his balance and blasted straight at Alphonse Areola.
