In recent months, several players have been connected with Barcelona, but the Catalans appear to be particularly interested in Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez. The Argentine has been with the Verdiblancos since 2020, and his worth has risen from €4 million, which Betis spent for his acquisition, to €28 million.
However, Real Betis may not profit from this increase in value because Rodriguez's contract expires next summer and the two sides have not yet agreed on a renewal. As a result, if Betis wants to acquire something for him, they'll have to sell him in the winter. This circumstance makes the midfielder an enticing target for Barcelona, but the Catalans aren't the only ones. Manchester United has also expressed interest in signing the midfielder. For the time being, Barcelona and Manchester United are the Argentine's biggest rivals.
