Matt Turner plans to challenge Ramsdale

Arsenal signed a new £5m goalkeeper, Matt Turner. Only the player has big plans once he arrives at Emirates stadium. Turner shared he is not joining Arsenal just to make up the number but truly challenge the in-form star Aaron Ramsdale and take the No.1 position by next season. The 27-year-old American goalkeeper moved to north London from New England Revolution when the Premier League side secured his signature on a £5million rated contract with their MLS counterparts. Arsenal is set to part ways with Bernd Leno at the end of the season leaving the No.2 stopper position open for Turner.

The former Sheffield United star has climbed through ranks to take be Arsenal’s standout performer this season but would face tough competition from Turner who usurped Manchester City stopper Zack Steffen for the No 1 spot in the US national team.
