Brazilian footballer Liliu continues to lead the way in the Golden Boot points chart with his 31 goals for Nomme Kalju (Estonia), but European football's big names are starting to close in on top spot.

Behind Liliu is Zakaria Beglarishvili (Flora Tallinn), Paulinho (BK Häcken), and League of Ireland side Dundalk's Patrick Hoban.

Then comes Lionel Messi with 28 points from his 14 goals, with those above him handicapped by the leagues in which they play, as their goals only count for one point each, though Beglarishvili earns 1.5 points per goal.

Of the big favourites, Kylian Mbappe is tenth with 24 points.

The scoring system awards two points per goal to players in England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany's top flights, while leagues in nations ranked from six to 22 in UEFA's rankings earn 1.5 points per goal.
