Messi looks unstoppable against Bolivia

This is a lot to say, but Lionel Messi proved that he has improved whilst playing for Argentina. This Tuesday against Bolivia at Mario Kempes Stadium in Cordoba, he really impressed the fans by commanding easily 90% of his team's offensive chances. Messi was everywhere, if he wasn't creating the play he was setting up someone with a fantastic pass over the defense. He even scored his goal from the spot, but he wasn't happy for leaving the match without scoring one of them Maradonian goals he loves to net.

The first goal came on the 20th minute after a play started by Messi with a pass over the defense to Higuain, 'Pipita' reached the box and lobbed the ball over the keeper, but after the defense's deflection he saw Mercado coming from the middle to assist him after the rebound. this was Mercado's second consecutive goal after scoring in the last match against Chile. But right in the middle as the creator, Messi was sitting at the pedestal and the crowd in Cordoba chanted his name as they knew he was about to complete one of his best games with Argentina.

Ten minutes later Ever Banega was knocked down inside the box and Messi managed to score from the spot for the 2-0. With this goal, Messi became the second player in Argentina's history to reach 50 goals with the National Team just behind Gabriel Batistuta who has 56. But Messi would bust out his full repertoire in the second half, unfortunately both the defense and the goalkeeper prevented him from scoring a new goal. He attempted two beautiful free-kicks with no luck and did a handful of those Maradonian plays that had everyone at the edge of their seat. At the end, Argentina took on the third place with 11 points behind Ecuador and Uruguay who have 13 points each.

The other game apart from this was Chile's visit to Venezuela, the current Copa America champions defeated the Vino Tinto 4-1 with doubles by Pinilla brace Arturo Vidal. With this victory Chile reached 10 points and stays fourth behind Argentina.
