Messi rules out returning to Argentina

Leo Messi's future is one of the big uncertainties for next summer. The '30' is finishing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and still hasn't decided where he's going to play.

Alfredo Martinez told 'Sport' that the Rosarino's intention is not to return to Argentina, although Sergio Aguero has revealed that he may return to Newell's Old Boys.

There are currently three possible destinations for Messi next season. Most likely where he currently is, Paris Saint-Germain. The other two places he could go are Inter Miami and, further afield, a return to a Barcelona emblem that would have to balance 'Financial Fair Play'.

Messi still wants to continue competing at a high level, so it is likely that he will decide to stay with the Parisians for at least another year.
