Milan 2-0 win over Lazio

Although Lazio were authors of their own downfall for the first goal as Marcos Antonio's mistake enabled Bennacer to bundle home, Stefano Pioli's team were in complete control from the outset. With a fantastic solo effort, Hernandez doubled Milan's lead before halftime, moving the Rossoneri up to fourth in Serie A ahead of Inter's key match against Roma later on Saturday. Nevertheless, Milan's triumph was tainted by the sight of star attacker Rafael Leao leaving the pitch in pain early on, only four days before the first leg of their Champions League semifinal match against Inter.

Leao was removed from the game after only 11 minutes due to what appeared to be a groyne injury, and Pioli may have regretted selecting a more recognisable starting lineup after resting numerous players for Wednesday's draw with Cremonese.
