Milan and Genoa ended in a 3-3 draw

Milan was on the verge of winning the game with to goals from Olivier Giroud and Matteo Gabbia in the second half, but Malick Thiaw's own goal late in the game leveled the tallies and gave Genoa a vital point. Five minutes into the match, Mateo Retegui of Genoa gave his team the lead with a penalty. However, an equalizer was produced by Milan thanks to a header from Alessandro Florenzi shortly before the half. Caleb Ekuban scored a header early in the second half to give Genoa the lead again, demonstrating the visitors' will to give up. Milan responded quickly and decisively, with goals from Giroud and Gabbia erasing the deficit in just three minutes. Milan tried their best to win, but Thiaw's unlucky own goal meant that the points were split.

Olivier Giroud keeps going against the grain, demonstrating that in professional sports, age is only a number.
