With Sportitalia claiming a push for Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese and Sky Sport Italia reporting a trip to the Netherlands for Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez, Milan is keeping its options open for a new centre-forward. With Francesco Camarda almost ready to join Monza on loan and Alvaro Morata on the verge of a €16 million move to Galatasaray, a striker must come before Monday night's transfer deadline.
After an early offer of €20 million plus add-ons was turned down, Milan progressively raised it to €30 million plus bonuses and a portion of the sell-on money. Gimenez is their top target, and Feyenoord placed the price tag at €40 million. In an attempt to finalise the agreement, Milan directors are travelling to Rotterdam on Friday for in-person talks with Feyenoord, according to a report this evening from Sky Sport Italia.
