Milan beat Napoli 1-0

Sunday's 1-0 victory over the reigning champions was secured by Théo Hernandez's fantastic goal in the first half, bringing Milan to within one point of Juventus.

After losing 1-0 to league leaders Inter Milan the previous weekend, the Bianconeri will face Udinese on Monday in an attempt to avoid relegation. On Saturday, Inter defeated Roma 4-2 to take a seven-point lead atop Serie A. The Rossoneri went close to increasing their advantage soon after the half but Napoli goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini parried Alessandro Florenzi’s effort and then managed to reach across and collect the loose ball before Giroud could pounce. For the first time in the league since September, Leão came dangerously close to scoring when he cut inside his defender and curled the ball just beyond the right post.
