Despite having a backup plan in place, Milan is allegedly targeting Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez as their top priority in their ongoing hunt for a new striker to bolster Sergio Conceição's team. The Rossoneri have turned their attention to the Mexican striker, who has been scoring regularly for the Eredivisie team for the past three seasons, after their attempts to recruit players like Marcus Rashford and João Felix were unsuccessful, mostly for financial reasons.

Gianluca Di Marzio stated that the parties engaged in extensive talks on Tuesday and are anticipated to continue on Wednesday in an attempt to come to a consensus. However, the Diavolo are also keeping an eye on Dodi Lukebakio of Sevilla, so they have a backup plan in case the deal for Gimenez doesn't work out.
