After reaching a deadlock in their pursuit of Youssouf Fofana, Milan has to cast a broader net to bolster Paulo Fonseca's midfield unit. Emmanuel Kone, a talented player for Borussia Monchengladbach, is once again on Geoffrey Moncada's shortlist. Milan has renewed their interest in Kone. In January 2021, Moncada attempted to sign the Gladbach player.
Kone moved to the Bundesliga as a consequence of Milan and Toulouse being unable to come to an agreement. Kone has maintained his impressive play in Germany's top division, displaying remarkable physical and technical characteristics to secure a spot on Thiery Henry's French Olympic squad for 2024. Even if Kone would be a fascinating alternative for Milan, it's astonishing that they're interested in him given that Gladbach won't let him go for less than €20 million.
