As he had already predicted, Serbian manager Sinisa Mihajlovic was kicked to the curve after losing against Juventus last weekend. AC Milan has confirmed the decision this Tuesday morning through a statement on their official web page, the manager left the club with a record of 19 won matches, 10 draws and 9 defeat out of the 38 games he managed the Rossoneri. He had arrived to replace Filippo Inzaghi after being sacked on June last year.
Mihajlovic had a contract from June 30th 2015 until June 30th 2017 but at the end, both Silvio Berlusconi and the manager himself reached an agreement to part ways in the benefit of the club. This was the Serbian's sixth club he manages after becoming a professional coach back in 2008 when he took control of Bologna. since then he has managed Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and the Serbian National Team.
The club's statement thanked Mihajlovic for his services and appointed former club player Christian Brocchi as his substitute effective immediately: "Sinisa Mihajlovic has been relieved of his role as AC Milan coach. The club would like to thank Mihajlovic for the dedication and hard work carried out this season."
