AC Milan have officially submitted a €15 million bid to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for right-back Guela Doue, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and L’Équipe. The 22-year-old defender, older brother of PSG winger Désiré Doue, has attracted attention from top clubs including Chelsea, Sunderland, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Strasbourg, however, are reportedly holding out for around €20 million, having signed Doue from Rennes last summer for €6.5 million plus bonuses. With Kyle Walker’s loan spell ending, Milan are seeking reinforcements in defense and view Doue as a rotation option with Alex Jimenez under new coach Massimiliano Allegri. Doue’s solid defensive profile contrasts with Jimenez’s more attack-minded approach. Meanwhile, Emerson Royal remains out of favour despite the managerial change at Milan, potentially clearing the path for Doue’s arrival. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
