In a commanding display at the Salt Lake Stadium, Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) triumphed over FC  with a decisive 2-0 victory in their final league encounter, securing the Indian Super League (ISL) Winners Shield.

Having already clinched the title following a previous victory against Odisha FC, MBSG's latest win against Goa served to underline their supremacy in the ISL.

The match attracted an energetic crowd of over 62,000 fans, who witnessed MBSG set various records, including the most points in a 24-game campaign (56), the highest number of wins in a season (17), and the most home victories (11). Furthermore, MBSG achieved an impressive 15 clean sheets, highlighting their defensive strength throughout the season.

The scoring opened due to an unfortunate own goal by FC Goa defender Boris Singh, followed by a late effort from MBSG's Scottish playmaker, Greg Stewart, in injury time.
