Monaco defeated Angers with another brilliant effort from Mika Biereth

The last time Les Monégasques won on the road was on November 9, 2024. When they held a 1-0 lead going into injury time against Toulouse FC last Saturday, they felt they had the problem solved, but Frank Magri managed to salvage a point. Monaco appeared to be headed for yet another raw. But pulled through by managing to grab all three points against Angers and winning 2-0. Vanderson could have done better with a fantastic chance inside the box during the first half, but Yahia Fofana was once again in outstanding form, making a huge stop from Mika Biereth.

Biereth, however, was not denied in the 77th minute when he volleyed in from close range after taking a touch off his chest. Then, in the 88th minute, Maghnes Akliouche increased Monaco's lead, giving Adi Hütter's team a vital victory that puts them on the Ligue 1 podium.
