Monza stunned seven-time European winners AC Milan

Thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic in the 88th minute and Olivier Giroud's volley, Milan, who had Luka Jovic sent off, came back from a 2-0 deficit. However, extra-time goals from Lorenzo Colombo and Warren Bondo handed Monza its first victory over Milan in Serie A by 4-2.

Just before halftime, Dany Mota made it 2-0 after Matteo Pessina began the scoring with a penalty. Stefano Pioli's team is now only two points behind Juventus in second place and eleven behind Inter in first position. On Friday, Inter defeated Salernitana 4-0, and Juventus lost two points in a 2-2 draw against Verona. In other Serie A action on Sunday, Bologna defeated Lazio 2-1 at home while Roma defeated Frosinone 3-0. After winning the first leg 3-0 at home, Milan will play the second leg of their Europa League elimination play-off against Rennes on Thursday.
