Morgan praises Foxes' resolve against Porto

Leicester City is still on cloud nine after they got a second straight victory in their first ever Champions League tournament, they defeated FC Porto at King Power Stadium. And as Italian boss Claudio Ranieri predicted, Algerian striker Islam Slimani was the one who gave them that win with a solo header after a Mahrez cross from the right, but this victory came thanks to the hard work the Foxes' defensive line did as well.

Talking to BT Sport, skipper Wes Morgan said: "We have to be especially resilient at home and we dug deep today. Second half we had a lot of pressure to sustain and the boys stood firm to get the three points. Slimani is a big lad, works very hard and puts his body in – he's very awkward to play against. He's settled in and has scored some goals for us. I think there's plenty more to come."

Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez also said: "We knew it was going to be tough and we knew as well that we had to work hard to get the three points. That's what we did and we are very happy. Now we have six points with the next game at home. We need to get the points at home because it is always more difficult away. Islam is always ready in the box so I just put the ball in and he was there."
