Zimbabwe have unveiled their squad for the upcoming Four Nations tournament in Francistown, yet the headline talking point is the continued omission of in‑form midfielder Marshall Munetsi. Despite a standout spell at Paris FC, three goals in three straight Ligue 1 matches and nine appearances overall, the 29‑year‑old loanee from Wolverhampton Wanderers has once again been overlooked by coach Marian Marinica.
The tournament, set for March 28 and 31 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium, is seen as a key opportunity for the Warriors to build cohesion and assess depth ahead of future competitions. Marinica declined to address Munetsi’s absence, instead praising the balance of a squad featuring seasoned names such as Teenage Hadebe, Marvelous Nakamba, Knowledge Musona, Prince Dube and Macauley Bonne. Several younger players have also been included to stake their claim. Munetsi, capped 35 times with two goals, last featured for Zimbabwe late last year.
