His operation was successful, according to Shan United. Phone Thitsar Min had injured his knee during a training session with the Myanmar U-22 team in the second week of October, ahead of the 2019 SEA Games.
“My operation began at 5:30 am this morning, and I regained consciousness around 9. Everything’s alright,” said Phone Thitsar.
Dr Phyo Min Oo, who accompanied the young goalkeeper, said, “The operation was successful. He will be discharged after two days. But, we will stay in Bangkok for about a week to ensure that he is recuperating well. After a two-month rest, Phone Thitsar will start light exercises. He would be able to resume normal training after 6 months”.
The Myanmar Football Federation helped Phone Thitsar pay for the operation, and football fans will see him on the pitch in July, 2020, according to a statement issued by Shan United.
