Following a 2-0 victory over Torino at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Scott McTominay scored twice as Napoli grabbed command of the Scudetto race.
Antonio Conte's team took advantage of Inter's 1-0 loss to Roma earlier on Sunday to go three points ahead at the top of Serie A with four games left. Frank Anguissa cut the ball back for McTominay to bundle home in only seven minutes as Napoli broke the impasse after spotting their chance to take advantage of the Nerazzurri's error. Three minutes later, Torino could have tied the score, but Che Adams was only able to shoot five yards out and over the bar. It proved costly for the visitors as the hosts doubled their advantage four minutes before half-time, as McTominay met Matteo Politano's low cross to poke past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic for his 11th goal of the season.
