After giving a candid statement to the media last month, the 31-year-old Spaniard surprised the club's administration by announcing his decision to quit the Biancocelesti at the end of the current campaign. President Claudio Lotito has previously said that Luis Alberto would not be permitted to depart on a free transfer, requiring interested parties to pay for his signature. Luis Alberto's contract with Lazio runs until June 2027. His projected cost is between €20 and €30 million, and a return to Spain has been possible.

According to TMW, Napoli is searching for a new playmaker in the summer after Zielinski left for Inter. They have begun to explore a transfer for Luis Alberto, who would seem to fit in well with the team in the capital of Campania. Currently, a lot still hinges on the coach that replaces Francesco Calzona in the summer; Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte are two possible contenders.
