Napoli complete permanent Hojlund signing after UCL qualification

Napoli are forced to complete the permanent signing of Rasmus Højlund after activating the €44 million obligation‑to‑buy clause included in his loan from Manchester United. The Serie A club moved decisively following the striker’s impressive spell in Italy, with the total package for United expected to reach around €50 million once last summer’s loan fee is included. Napoli’s qualification for next season’s Champions League automatically confirmed the deal.

The club would view Højlund as a key figure in their long‑term plans and have been highly satisfied with his impact since arriving in Naples. A convincing weekend victory over Pisa secured a top‑four finish and removed any remaining uncertainty surrounding the agreement. Højlund is now expected to continue leading the line as Napoli prepare for another campaign in Europe’s elite competition, reinforcing their ambition to build a competitive, sustainable squad.
